Journaling prompts, April’s theme: SELF-CONFIDENCE – 16th April 2026

Ready today’s prompt by clicking on ‘Read More’…

This month’s journaling prompts on the theme of SELF-CONFIDENCE are designed to help you build a steady, grounded belief in yourself. Not by forcing positivity, but by gently understanding how you think, feel, and show up in your everyday life.

Mini-theme: Asserting self and finding purpose

Today’s Prompt: What do I need to say “no” to today to honour my boundaries, and how does that feel?

These are my personal responses to today’s prompt designed to encourage you to use the prompts to develop your journaling practice. If you are not already receiving the monthly themed prompt calendar there is a sign up box below and you are very welcome to come and join us.

I need to take a greater stand to honour my life’s purpose. Why I am created.

I need to take this stand for myself. No-one else is really stopping me from being me.

But this week I had an experience earlier in the week where I felt it was really confirmed back to me that all the work that I do is exactly what I am created to do.

And I did have doubts. I did think maybe I took the wrong turn, maybe it’s not supposed to be like this, maybe I made too many small wrong choices and I’m really off course. Like that ship analogy, if a ship sailing from England is 1% off course it will end up in Brazil, not Canada. (that’s not the exact analogy but you get what I mean).

But no, this is my work, this is the race set out in front of me.

And so what I need to say no to today is anything that doesn’t align with that. With my life purpose as a creative entrepreneur. As someone who is passionate about self healing through journaling, passionate about the clothes you wear having an intrinsic effect on the person you think you are, passionate about creating beauty in whatever form: a vase of flowers, a dress, a blog post.

That’s me.

And today, and for the rest of the month, I’m going to notice where I am not being that person.

And change it.

And that feels amazing, relaxing, joyful, exciting.
