Journaling prompts, April’s theme: SELF-CONFIDENCE – 9th April 2026

Ready today’s prompt by clicking on ‘Read More’…

This month’s journaling prompts on the theme of SELF-CONFIDENCE are designed to help you build a steady, grounded belief in yourself. Not by forcing positivity, but by gently understanding how you think, feel, and show up in your everyday life.

Mini-theme: Taking Responsibility Through Small Wins

Today’s Prompt: What one small task can I master today to prove my capability, and how will I track the win?

These are my personal responses to today’s prompt designed to encourage you to use the prompts to develop your journaling practice. If you are not already receiving the monthly themed prompt calendar there is a sign up box below and you are very welcome to come and join us.

This prompts seems much easier compared to yesterday which I found quite hard because i had to really acknowledge what I was thinking and feeling while at the same time trying to supress what I was thinking and feeling in order to feel ‘safe’.

You know, I can master the task of feeding myself good food and taking exercise. And I can track the win by creating an exercise chart and committing to it for 30 days. And I can do the same with food. I can create a food plan and tick off each meal where I eat what I say I am going to eat. It’s very simple. I’m just not doing it.

At the moment it feels like, ‘Simple but not easy’. Fitting exercise into my day seems daunting as my day is already busy and I am tired. Eating healthily, well actually eating healthily feels like a relief. I’m so much happier when I eat foods that I feel really nourish me. And I’m so much happier when not drinking alcohol as I feel really free. I think it was since Christmas I got caught in the alcohol loop of regular drinking and it’s really not doing me any good.

So this is a simple way to prove to myself my own capability, that I have my own back, that I do what I say I’m going to do.

I just need to do it.
