Journaling prompts, March’s theme: CURIOSITY – 16th March 2026

Ready today’s prompt by clicking on ‘Read More’…

This month’s journaling prompts on the theme of CURIOSITY are designed to support you to expand your mind with generosity, not condemnation.

Mini-theme: Exploring

Today’s Prompt: Sit quietly for 5 minutes. What thoughts come up that you’d like to explore more? Journal on that thought.

These are my personal responses to today’s prompt designed to encourage you to use the prompts to develop your journaling practice. If you are not already receiving the monthly themed prompt calendar there is a sign up box below and you are very welcome to come and join us.

It’s Monday and my brain feels like it’s bursting with things I need to do. I wrote out a list of eight thoughts immediately, five of which started with ‘need to’.

Journaling on those thoughts I need to take action. The thoughts I wrote down all require me to take action.

Something else that comes up for me is to create enough space and time to be myself.

Something else that comes up for me is this, ‘The utter joy of doing what you say you are going to do’. I absolutely love this thought. There have been so many times when I have not done what I say I am going to do – so, so many times. I talk myself out of it, I decide something else is a better plan, I just don’t do it. I do it for a few days and completely forget to be consistent. But this idea of the joy of doing what I say I am going to do is wonderful. I love it and find it really compelling.

Sarah Banks, I do what I say I am going to do. I love that for me.

Did a phrase, or word, or thought come up for you that you can adopt for yourself?
