This month’s journaling prompts on the theme of CURIOSITY are designed to support you to expand your mind with generosity, not condemnation.

Mini-theme: Softening

Today’s Prompt: Write about something you’re allowing yourself to wonder about again and how you could adopt this as a practice in your life.

These are my personal responses to today’s prompt designed to encourage you to use the prompts to develop your journaling practice. If you are not already receiving the monthly themed prompt calendar there is a sign up box below and you are very welcome to come and join us.

The thing that I’m wondering about is having more control over my life. I realise that I’ve been starting to think about this for a while now. I’ve been wondering about it without realising that I was wondering about it.

I want more control over my every day life. In fact yesterday I had a conversation with my fiancé on this subject. I want to have more time to train the dogs. One of our dogs is very reactive and I’d love to have some more time to take him to training classes. I’m really interested in dog training and dog behaviour.

I also want to spend more time just enjoying my projects. Being creative, enjoying my own time, being with myself, thinking my own thoughts.

And I did discuss just this point with my fiancé. How much time it would actually take to have my own projects. To spend time developing my inner life, my creative life.

I wonder whether these things are actually much easier to do than we imagine. That to actually make that space in our lives for what we really want is much easier than we image.

But I am scared. Thinking about it is one thing. Actually making room in my life to do these changes.

But maybe that’s all we need to do.

Maybe we create ideas in our head as to why we can’t do something when all along we can do it. And maybe I’m caught up in that now and could actually make life simpler for myself. Or maybe I just create the practice and then create the space for it.

What do you think? Am I overthinking? Not thinking. What would you do? What are you going to do?
