Journaling prompts, May’s theme: GROWTH – 19th May 2026

Ready today’s prompt by clicking on ‘Read More’…

This month’s journaling prompts on the theme of GROWTH are designed to help you build a better self-understanding. The prompts are phrased in a positive, supportive manner, enabling you to self-inquire without unnecessary self-criticism.

Mini-theme: Goals

Today’s Prompt: “What goal am I avoiding and why?”

These are my personal responses to today’s prompt designed to encourage you to use the prompts to develop your journaling practice. If you are not already receiving the monthly themed prompt calendar there is a sign up box below and you are very welcome to come and join us.

I don’t think I’m avoiding a goal, but I think I’m a bit scattered within my goals.

I hadn’t really realised that until right now.

I’ve got goals, quite a few goals, but I think I’m being scattered in the way that I approach them.

Yes, that’s so right.

I’m scattered in the way I approach them.

So today I’m bringing the focus back to each goal, to be more organised in writing down the goal, the steps I need to get there, how I’ll track my progress and how I’ll keep myself accountable.

Accountability, or rather self-accountability is an issue. I’m very good at wriggling out of the difficult questions or difficult deliveries.

But really I just need to stay focussed on the goal.

How about you?
