Mini-theme: Goals

Today’s Prompt: “What does discipline look like in my daily life?”

These are my personal responses to today’s prompt designed to encourage you to use the prompts to develop your journaling practice. If you are not already receiving the monthly themed prompt calendar there is a sign up box below and you are very welcome to come and join us.

I’m learning to be more disciplined in small ways like:

keeping small promises to myself,
creating stability in my life and routine,
returning to routines after slipping,
doing important things before I “feel like it”
building trust with myself and learning how to develop that relationship.

Right now, discipline looks like practicing consistency in small ways. Getting up when I said I would. Completing simple tasks before procrastination grows. Returning to routines without turning one difficult day into a difficult week. I don’t think discipline has to be rigid — I think it can be steady, supportive, and self-respecting.

How about you?
