Mini-theme: Discipline

Today’s Prompt: “What am I afraid to try and what if I did it anyway?”

These are my personal responses to today’s prompt designed to encourage you to use the prompts to develop your journaling practice. If you are not already receiving the monthly themed prompt calendar there is a sign up box below and you are very welcome to come and join us.

There are various occurrences in my past that have made me nervous about the present. Things to do with something going wrong, I’m thinking of work and of home, which has made me very cautious for the present and future.

And these occurrences have made me afraid of where I am now. Afraid of what though? That it will happen again? yes maybe. I don’t fear that those things happened, changed the course of my life and it will never be the same (in a bad way). I’ve worked through that. But, yes, maybe I do fear that it will happen again.

But what if I did it anyway? What if I stopped being fearful that the same events will happen. Maybe in a a slightly different fashion, but that I am stuck in a loop where these occurrences will happen again.

What if I just did it anyway?

How about you?
